The International Workshop on Geotechnical Reliability and Uncertainty (IWGRU 2026) was successfully held in Shanghai from June 6 to 8, 2026. The workshop brought together leading researchers and practitioners to discuss recent advances in reliability-based geotechnical design, uncertainty quantification, and risk assessment methodologies.
Participants exchanged innovative ideas on probabilistic site characterization, model uncertainty, spatial variability, and the practical application of reliability methods in geotechnical engineering projects.
