Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the opening of registration for the KAJIMA–FOMLIG AI Challenge.

This challenge is being organized as a special activity of the 4th FOMLIG workshop, an international conference that will be held in South Korea this August. The challenge aims to provide students with an opportunity to develop practical AI-based solutions for real-world geotechnical engineering problems and gain hands-on experience in applying AI tools and techniques.

The challenge currently includes the following topics:

  • Data extraction from geotechnical pile foundation data
  • Development of a method for identifying expansive soils

Cash awards will be provided for the winners of each challenge, and the award ceremony will be held during the 4th FOMLIG workshop.

Please find the attached outline and detailed information regarding the challenge, including objectives, rules, submission requirements, and the registration process.

We would greatly appreciate it if you could circulate this information among students and encourage interested students to participate.

If you have any questions or would like additional information, please feel free to contact the organizers.
